Bhubaneswar: Forty-eight persons tested corona positive in the last 24 hours, taking the affected tally in Odisha to 876 on Monday.
These cases have been detected in Jajpur (16), Ganjam (15), Nayagarh (3), Puri (4), Balangir (2), Kendrapada (3), Boudh (1), Cuttack (1), Khurda (1) and Kandhamal( 2).
According to I & PR department, all the patients are migrants and 47 of them tested positive for the virus while in quarantine centres.
In Jajpur, seven West Bengal returnees , one from Telangana and four each from Andhra Pradesh and Ahmedabad have tested corona positive.
Among the 14 patients in Ganjam, 14 are Surat returnees and one from Bengaluru.
The three persons from Kendrapada have travel history of West Bengal while two from Balangir and one each from Boudh and Khurda are Surat returnees.
The positive case detected in Cuttack had recently returned from Maharashtra. Three from Nayagarh had travelled to Ahmedabad, while two from Kandhamal returned from Tamil Nadu.
In Puri, the detected cases include two Tamil Nadu returnees, one from Andhra Pradesh and another, a local contact.

While Ganjam leads with 307 positive cases, Jajpur is second with 137 followed by Balasore (119), Khurda (60), Bhadrak (74), Kendrapara (30), Sundargarh (27), Puri (29), Angul (15), Mayurbhanj (11), Cuttack (23), Nayagarh (9), Jagatsinghpur (5), Boudh (5), Keonjhar (8), Balangir (6), Deogarh (2), Jharsuguda (2), Kalahandi (2), Dhenkanal (1), Sambalpur (1), Kandhamal (2) and Koraput (1).
