48 New Corona Cases In Odisha; Total 672

Bhubaneswar: Odisha has reported 48 new corona positive cases, taking the affected tally to 672 on Friday.

These fresh cases have been detected in Ganjam (12), Balasore (12), Puri (10), Bhadrak (6), Nayagarh (3), Jajpur (2), Cuttack (1), Sundargarh (1) and Deogarh (1).

According to I & PR department, those who tested positive in Ganjam, Nayagarh, Jajpur and Puri are Surat returnees and in quarantine.

Of the 12 cases in Balasore, seven are West Bengal returnees, two Surat returnees and one Maharashtra returnee, one Delhi returnee and a contact case in home quarantine.

Those who tested positive for the virus in Sundargarh, Deogarh and Cuttack had recently returned from Ahmedabad.

All six cases in Bhadrak are West Bengal returnees, the tweet added.

A total of 4769 samples were tested on Thursday, the Heath Department sources said.

With three deaths and 158 patients having been cured of the disease, the state now has 511 active cases.
