Bhawanipatna: A five-month-old infant and a two-year-old toddler are among the three new COVID-19 patients detected in Kalahandi district in the last 24 hours.
Kalahandi Chief District Medical Officer Jagulal Agarwal told the media that the two children contracted the virus from their father, who was recently discharged from a government quarantine centre.
The third patient is a Maharashtra returnee. “All three patients are from Golamunda block in the district. They have been admitted to Bhawanipatna COVID hospital,” he added.
Kalahandi district has so far reported 25 COVID-19 cases and 15 among them have recovered from the infection, according to data available on the Health Department website.
