5 Odias in national team for Asian Athletics Championships

Bhubaneswar: Five players from Odisha have found place in the national team for the 22nd Athletics Championships, scheduled to be held at Kalinga Stadium here from July 6 to 9.
They are Dutee Chand, Srabani Nanda, Jauna Murmu, Purnima Hembram and Amiya Mallick.
While Amiya will feature in 100, 200 and 4X100 categories, Dutee and Srabani would run in 100, 200 and 4X100 metre race. Similarly, Purnima will participate in the heptathlon and Jauna in 400-metre hurdles.
The 95-member Indian team comprises 48 male and 45 female players. Around 600 athletes from 45 countries will participate in the mega sports event.
