Cuttack: The Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) declared Old Rausapatana (Ward No 27) as a containment zone after five persons in the area tested corona positive on Sunday.
“To facilitate active contact tracing in this densely populated area, it is necessary to restrict the movement of people and therefore, a decision to declare it as a containment zone has been taken,” said CMC commissioner Ananya Das.
CONTAINMENT ZONE
“All vehicular movement and that of public transport and people will be stopped. All the inhabitants within the containment zone will strictly remain at home. All shopping establishment of whatsoever nature will be closed immediately. All the government and private institutions located within the boundary of the containment zone will also be closed forthwith. The supply of essentials and medical requirements will be ensured through various teams formed by CMC,” the notification added.
