50 grams brown sugar seized from Bhubaneswar, 1 held

Bhubaneswar: The Central Excise Intelligence officials on Monday, seized 50 grams of brown sugar from Bhubaneswar railway station and arrested one person in connection with the case.

After getting a tip-off regarding the brown sugar from a reliable source, the excise department conducted a raid.

“After preliminary interrogation, we have come to know that he was a resident of Haladipadia in Bhubaneswar. He had brought the contraband from West Bengal to sell it in the city and supply it to other parts of the state,” an official said.
