Bhubaneswar: More than 57,000 students took admission in Plus II streams in the first phase on Monday.
More than 31,000 students enrolled in Arts, 20,500 in Science and 6000 in Commerce stream, sources in the School and Mass Education department said.
Of the total of 3,76,410 who had applied for the admission, 3,41,927 have been selected for admission in the first phase. Among the selected students, 2,18,425 have applied for admission in Arts, 87,111 in Science and 22,690 in Commerce, 8036 in Sanskrit and 5665 in Vocational Education stream.
The admission will continue till July 5.
The second cut-off list will be declared on July 10 while the second phase admission will be held on July 11 and 12.
The list of the vacant seats would be announced on July 16 and admission held between July 19 and 21.
Regular classes will begin from July 24.
