Puri: Chairman of 5T Initiatives and Nabin Odisha VK Pandian on Saturday took stock of various developmental works in Odisha’s Puri town.
During his visit to the Pilgrim Town, Pandian first reviewed the Heritage Corridor works. He instructed the officials of the executing agency to complete the project work as per scheduled time.
During the review meeting, the officials briefed the 5T Chairman on different name plates to be put up at the gates of the Jagannath Temple in the town and the multi-color signages that will be placed at various locations. He was also detailed on beautification works being taken up around the project site and the lighting arrangements.
Later, Pandian held a meeting at the Temple Administrative Office and discussed the progress of the project and disciplined darshan system for the visitors. Central Range IG Asish Singh, Puri Collector Samarth Verma, SP Kanwar Vishal Singh along with the sub-collector, Temple Niti Prasaka and other officials were present during the review meeting.
As the number of devotees and pilgrims coming to the town has increasing in the holy month of Kartik, Pandian directed the officials to take immediate steps for better crowd management so that they can have hassle-free darshan of the deities in the temple.
