Nayagarh: 5T Secretary V Karthikeyan Pandian on Wednesday visited Nayagarh district to take stock of the COVID-19 situation there.
Accompanied by the Development Commissioner Suresh Chandra Mahapatra, Pandian visited the COVID-19 Hospital at Chandapur and reviewed treatment and other facilities for the patients.
He then a meeting with the district administration to discuss steps to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus.
Pandian also directed the district administration to expedite work under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) scheme and ensure agricultural activities in the district with strict adherence to the social distancing and lockdown guidelines.
