6 ITBP Jawans Injured As Chhattisgarh-Bound Van Overturns In Odisha’s Khurda
Bhubaneswar: Six personnel of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) were injured when a vehicle carrying them to Chhattisgarh overturned near Bolagarh in Odisha’s Khurda district on Tuesday.
Sources said, the mishap took place on Khurda-Balangir National Highway-57 when the van with a group of ITBP jawans was proceeding from Nayagarh to Chhattisgarh.
Locals and police rescued the jawans and rushed them to the Khurda district headquarters hospital for treatment.
It was suspected that the driver lost control over the vehicle near a sharp turn, leading to the mishap.
However, the exact reason behind the mishap is not known yet. Police reached the spot and started an investigation, sources said.
