Srinagar: Seven soldiers died, and five others were injured after the Army truck they were travelling in rolled down a hill in Jammu and Kashmir’s Bandipore district on Saturday, media reports claimed.

According to reports, the vehicle’s driver lost control of the truck when he was attempting to negotiate a sharp curve near the Sadar Koot Payen area. All the injured soldiers were rushed to a local hospital, where two succumbed to their injuries.
Last year, similar incidents were witnessed. On December 24, five soldiers died and five others were injured after an Army vehicle veered off course and fell into a 350-foot-deep gorge in Poonch district. On November 4, 2024, an Army personnel died, while another got hurt after their vehicle their fell into a gorge in Rajouri district.
