Bhubaneswar: Commerce and Transport Minister Padmanabha Behera on Thursday informed the State Assembly that 8,89,093 people had applied for driving licence between September 1 and November 24.
The Minister, in a written reply, said that 5,25,968 among the have been provided with learner licence (LL). Similarly, 1,44,675 of 95,266 people have been provided with driving licence (DL).
In Bhubaneswar, 45,351 of 1,63,027 people have been provided with LL and 8102 of 12,545 people have been provided with DL by the Regional Transport Office (RTO)-I.
Besides, the RTO-II has provided LL to 24,987 of 31,637 people and DL to 5505 of 7109 people during the period, the Minister added.
