Bhubaneswar: Eight criminals were arrested in the twin cities on Sunday.
In the state capital, Kharvel Nagar police accompanied by quick action team carried out raids at different places following a tip-off and nabbed five members of dacoity gang. A gun was recovered from their possession.
In a separate incident, Lalbagh police nabbed three looters from Sisu Bhawan area in Cuttack while they were plotting a robbery at Ganeshghat petrol pump. A motorcycles, two cell phones and other weapons were seized from their possession. “They are being interrogated and further investigation into the case is on,” a police officer said.
