Berhampur: An eight-feet-long King Cobra was rescued at a village in Patrapur block of Ganjam district.
Sources said villagers at Pancha Amba spotted the cobra while bathing in a pond on Saturday and informed Snake Helpline officials in Berhampur.
Meanwhile, the snake climbed a tree near the pond. The Snake Helpline officials managed to rescue the snake after two hours of effort. They later released the snake in a forest.
