8 Including NTPC Hospital Staff Infected By Previous COVID-19 Patients In Odisha’s Sundargarh

Rourkela: Two new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours took the affected tally in Sundargarh district to 1,112 on Tuesday.

One case has been reported from Phuljhar, Sundargarh, and the other from Rourkela. They are under treatment at Apollo Hospitals and SUM Hospital in Bhubaneswar.

The district administration also shared the details of 11 of 33 positive cases of July 27, which were sent for re-confirmation. Among them, six are from Dengibhadi. They are symptomatic and contacts of an earlier confirmed case. Two NTPC hospital staff have also been infected by a high-risk contact.

With six death and 763 recoveries, Sundargarh now has 340 active cases.
