COVID-19: Odisha Tally Crosses 28K With 1215 New Cases In A Day; 312 From Khurda

Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 positive cases in Odisha went up to 28,107 on Tuesday with 1215 new cases reported in the last 24 hours from 28 districts.

Out of 1215 cases reported, 753 are from quarantine centres while 452 are local contact cases.

While Ganjam leads the tally with the highest single-day spike of 332 cases, followed by Khurda (312), Gajapati (89), Keonjhar (77), Koraput (73), Cuttack (60), Jagatsinghpur (47), Balasore (29), Rayagada (24), Mayurbhanj (22), Balangir (21), Jajpur (20), 14 each from Kandhamal, Kendrapada and Malkangiri, 11 each from Angul and Puri, Bargarh (10), eight each from Nuapada and Kalahandi, Nayagarh (7), two each from Sonepur, Sundargarh, Boudh, Jharsuguda and Bhadrak, and one each from Dhenkanal and Deogarh.

With 147 deaths and 17,373 recoveries, Odisha now has 10545 active cases.
