Berhampur: As many as 81 people in Ganjam district have come forward to act as ‘Covid Bandhu’ to talk to the active COVID-19 patients on a regular basis and share their experience.
These ‘Covid Bandhus’ are mostly recovered ‘COVID Warriors’. They have been identified for counselling the COVID-19 active patients. They have been engaged to reduce anxiety and panic among the patients.
As many as 81 recovered persons in the district have been identified to work as ‘Covid Bandhu’ while 114 persons have been identified to donate plasma, an official said.
He further said a total of 21,222 testing for the disease including 10447 RT-PCR and 10775 Antigen have been conducted till August 8. Daily average testing in the last week was around 814.
