Bhubaneswar: The coldwave conditions persisted in Odisha’s Kandhamal district for the third consecutive day with the mercury dropping to 6.4°C at G Udayagiri, India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Wednesday.
Similiguda in Koraput recorded 7°C whereas Phulbani (Koraput) and Kirei (Sundargarh) recorded 8°C each.
With a coldwave sweeping the state, nine places recorded a night temperature of 10°C and below:
- G Udayagiri (Kandhamal): 6.4°C
- Similiguda (Koraput): 7°C
- Phulbani (Kandhamal) and Kirei (Sundargarh): 8°C
- Keonjhar: 8.8°C
- Sundargarh: 9°C
- Jharsuguda: 9.6°C
- Daringbadi (Kandhamal) and Koraput: 10°C
The twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded 15.9 degree Celsius and 15.2 degree Celsius respectively.
