Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 toll in Odisha touched 8,316 on Tuesday with four more deaths due to the deadly disease being confirmed in the last 24 hours.
According to Health Department sources, two deaths have been reported from Mayurbhanj district and one each from Bhubaneswar and Jagstsinghpur district.
Here are the details of the deceased after an audit:
1. A 92 years old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, Coronary Artery Disease, Dimentia and bedridden status.
2.A 65 years old male of Jagatsinghpur district.
3.A 37 years old female of Mayurbhanja district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypothyroidism.
4.A 82 years old male of Mayurbhanja district who was also suffering from Hypertension.

Notably, Odisha has reported 6,431 COVID deaths during the second wave against 1,876 in the first wave last year.
There were 346 casualties due to the disease in the state in September. Similarly, 2,056 fatalities were registered in August, while July saw 1,903 deaths, June 1,272 and May 737, said sources in the Health Department.
The second wave of the pandemic has claimed the lives of 42 children and adolescents in Odisha. As many as 13 of these deaths were reported between August 10 and 31.
