Nayagarh: Krushna Patra, an under-trial prisoner, died while undergoing treatment at a government hospital at Daspalla in Nayagarh district on Sunday morning.
According to police, Patra and his wife were arrested and lodged in the Daspalla sub-jail for attacking a relative two months ago.
Krushna was taken to the hospital after he fell ill on Saturday night.
