Rain In Odisha For Five Days From Wednesday
Bhubaneswar: Even as Odisha experienced a rise in day and night temperatures, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday said that rainfall activity will begin in the state in the next 48 hours from Wednesday and continue for five days till March 8 (Sunday).
The duty officer of Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, Charan Behera, said the weather will remain mostly dry in most parts of Odisha on Tuesday. But on Wednesday, there will be light to moderate rainfall or thundershowers at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak, Balasore, Gajapati and Rayagada.
The IMD, in the subsequent 24 hours, has issued yellow warning for light to moderate rainfall with lightning at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar Bhadrak, Balasore and Gajapati.
On Thursday, there will be light to moderate rain or thundershower at many places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Bhadrak, Balasore, Jagatsingpur, Kendrapara, Jajpur, Kandhamal, Khurda and Cuttack and at one or two places over the rest of Odisha.
On Friday, there will be thundershower and lightning at most places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak , Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Angul and at many places over the districts of Kandhamal, Deogarh, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Khurda, Boudh, Kalahandi and Sonepur. The IMD has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorm with lightning at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kandhamal, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Khurda, Cuttack, Sonepur, Boudh and Kalahandi.
Behera said that the weather condition will improve from March 9 (Monday) with a gradual rise in day and night temperatures.
According to the morning weather bulletin on Monday, the day and night temperature in the state have gone up further.
While Malkangiri recorded the maximum temperature of 35.2 degree Celsius, followed by Balasore (31.4), Chandabali (31.7), Cuttack (32), Bhubaneswar (32.5), Gopalpur (30.5), Puri (30.6), Angul (32.1), Baripada (32.5), Jharsuguda (32.6), Sambalpur (31.9), Hirakud (31.1), Talcher (33.1), Bhawanipatna (31.5), Balangir (32.2),Titilagarh (32.4), Sonepur (31.2), Boudh (32), Chhatrapur (30.6), Paralakhemundi (31.1) and Rayagada (32.1).
Apart from this, the minimum night temperature remained above 15 degree Celsius in most parts of the state except Daringbadi (13.5), Sonepur (14.4), Sundargarh (14) and Angul (14.6).
