COVID-19 May Cost Global Economy $4.1 Trillion, Says ADB

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has warned that the COVID-19 pandemic could cost the global economy nearly $4.1 trillion, which is almost 5 per cent of the global GDP.

According to estimates by the Philippines-based bank, the losses may be halved if the coronavirus could be contained in a shorter period of time. COVID-19 has already claimed over 55,000 lives worldwide.
