Containment Of COVID-19 In Sundargarh’s Bisra Town Extended
Sundargarh: The Sundargarh administration on Thursday decided to enforce the COVID-19 containment orders in Bisra town of the district for another 48 hours till 11.30 am of April 18.
“This order comes into effect immediately. The containment will continue for the
next 48 hours from the issue of this order and may be extended if situation warrants,” the official notification said.
The area was sealed for contract tracing and active surveillance on April 12 after two person tested positive for the virus on April 11.
THE CASES
A 67-year-old man, who had visited Delhi and attended the Nizamuddin event in Delhi from March 6-10.
A 18-year-old youth, who had come in contact with a Jamaat member on March 10.
They were both asymptomatic.
CURED
On April 15, the Health and Family Welfare Department tweeted about one of the COVID-19 patient having recovered from the infection. “He will be soon discharged,” the tweet added.
Odisha has reported 60 confirmed cases and one death. With 19 of them having been fully cured of the infection, the state now has 40 active cases. Only two among them are in hospital quarantine.
