Odisha DGP Lauds Commitment Of 8-Month Pregnant Woman Cop On Lockdown Duty
Baripada: Odisha DGP Abhay has lauded the sincerity and dedication of sub-inspector (SI) of police Mamta Mishra posted at Betnoi police station.
The woman cop is carrying out her duty amid the coronavirus pandemic despite being eight-months pregnant.
In a tweet, the DGP said that he met this Braveheart, who insisted on working despite her health condition, during his visit to Mayurbhanj on Tuesday.
“In view of her health, she is given duty at Betnoti PS and not on road or checkpoint,” he added.

The DGP, who is reviewing the porous borders of Odisha with one-third of COVID cases being linked to a neighbouring state, had earlier posted about two policewomen who had postponed their wedding to attend to the lockdown duty.
