Lockdown 2.0: Orissa High Court CJ Takes Chartered Flight To Take Oath
Bhubaneswar: With air and rail services suspended due to the COVID-19 lockdown, Orissa High Court Chief Justice Mohammad Rafiq opted for a chartered flight service from Jaipur to reach Odisha to take oath of office.
Jaipur airport has been running the chartered flight services during the lockdown to help people whose travel is inevitable as in the case of the new Chief Justice of Orissa HC.
“People in emergency situations who need to travel from one city to another, need to apply to the DGCA and operators providing chartered planes. DGCA has been considerate in cases like medical emergency or in cases where a person’s travel is inevitable,” director of Jaipur airport, Jaideep Singh Balhara was quoted as saying by the Times of India.
Odisha Governor Ganeshi Lal administered the oath of office to Chief Justice Mohammad Rafiq, who was the former CJ of Meghalaya High Court, at a swearing in ceremony at Lokaseva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar on Monday.
