COVID-19: Daily Testing Capacity In India Now 95,000, Says Health Minister
New Delhi: Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan said on Saturday that testing capacity for novel coronavirus has been increased to around 95,000 tests per day in India.
The minister informed that till Friday, 15,25,631 tests had been conducted in 332 government and 121 private laboratories across different states and Union Territories.
One-and-a-half months into the nationwide lockdown, the number of total Covid-19 cases in India is close to 60,000 of which 39,834 cases are active currently. There have been 1,981 deaths, while 17,846 people infected by the virus have recovered.
