IRCTC To Run Special Train For Odisha Pilgrims
Bhubaneswar: To facilitate the pilgrims of Odisha to visit sacred destinations in three states at a special discount offer, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has decided to run a special train from Bhubaneswar.
Informing this at a press meet in the city here on Friday, Tourism Supervisor of IRCTC, Priti Pattnayak said the Astha Special Tourist Train will leave Bhubaneswar at 12 pm on March 10 and return on March 22.
During its two-week tour, the train would cover 14 sacred destinations in the three states of Maharashtra, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. They are Shirdi Sai Temple and Shani temple at Shanisignapur in Ahmednagar (Maharashtra), Triyambakeswar Temple in Nasik (Maharashtra), Muktidham in Nasik (Maharashtra), Omkareswar Temple at Indore (Maharashtra), Sarbaramati Ashram (Gujarat), Akshar Dham (Gujarat), Dwarkadhish Temple (Gujarat), Nageshwar Temple (Gujarat), Gomti Ghat (Gujarat), Somnath Temple (Gujarat), Kalabhairav Temple (Varanasi), Mahakaleswar Temple (Madhya Pradesh) and Bada Ganesh Temple (Madhya Pradesh).
The cost of the complete package has been fixed at Rs 12,285 per head including sleeper class tickets, accommodation and fooding including breakfast, lunch and dinner. Besides, tourist guides would help the pilgrims to visit these sacred places.
Besides, IRCTC will provide travel insurance to the pilgrims, Pattnayak said.
