Bargarh: As the poll campaign in Bijepur Assembly constituency will come to an end in the evening on Thursday, the political parties have geared up to woo the voters.
While BJD supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik left Bijepur on Wednesday night after his two-day campaigning in the constituency, senior party leaders, ministers and Ollywood stars have begun door-to-door campaign to vote for the party candidate Rita Sahu on the last day.
For BJP, Ollywood actress Anu Choudhury, Mihir Das, Aparajita Mohanty, Pinki Pradhan and Harihar Mohapatra are having door-to-door campaign with senior party leaders in Bijepur NAC area, Union Minister Ram Kripal Yadav is scheduled to campaign in Barpali and Gaisilat blocks in favour of the party candidate Ashok Panigrahi.
The Congress, which had kept a low profile since last two days, has stepped up its campaign with senior and local party leaders in favour of its candidate Pranay Sahu.
As per the directive of the Election Commission, the campaign will end at 5 PM.
Meanwhile, the polling parties who had arrived in Bijepur in the evening on Wednesday, have left for their respective booths.
