Rajinikanth Receives Bomb Threat, Police Says It’s A Hoax Call
Chennai: Superstar Rajinikanth received a bomb threat on Thursday, following which the Chennai police and Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad rushed to the actor’s house here.
According to reports, an unidentified caller dialed 108 at around 10.30 am and claimed that bombs were planted at Rajinikanth’s residence in Poes Garden.
When the bomb squad and police reached the actor’s residence, they weren’t allowed to enter his house and conduct search operation because of COVID-19 scare.
The team checked the security guard’s cabin and the area outside Rajinikanth’s house and declared it a hoax call.
This is not the first time bomb threats have been issued to Rajinikanth, all of which have turned out to be hoax.
On the work front, Rajinikanth was last seen in ‘Darbar’, directed by AR Murugadoss.
‘Darbar’ didn’t do well at the box-office and incurred losses of Rs 70 crore. It is said to be one of the biggest disasters in Rajinikanth’s career.
Rajinikanth will be next seen in the film ‘Annaatthe’.
