Know Details Of 13 New COVID Cases In Odisha Capital

Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 tally in the Odisha capital rose to 345 on Thursday with the detection of 13 fresh positive cases.

According to the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), eight of the new cases were reported from home quarantine and five were local contact cases.

The details of the eight home quarantine cases are:

—3 cases: Two males (24 yrs and 32 yrs) and one fenmale (28 yrs) of Tankapani road, near Rajarani temple. They are linked to an earlier positive case.
—2 cases: One male (44 yrs) and one female (30 yrs) of Tankapani road at Bijaylaxmi Colony. They are linked to an earlier positive case.
—2 cases: Two males (30 yrs and 32 yrs) of Nuagoan, near Samantarapur. They are linked to an earlier positive case.
—1 case: One male (25 yrs) of Unit-I, near High School. He has a travel history to Bangalore

The five local contact cases are:

—1 case: Female (21 yrs) of Saradhapali slum at Khandagiri. She has a travel history to Jajpur district.
—1 case: Male (32 yrs) of Bhimtangi Road in Old Town. He has a travel history to Cuttack district.
—1 case: Male (55 yrs) of Salia Sahi. He is a Railway staff and a native of Jajpur district.
—1 case: Male (57 yrs) of Niladri Vihar near Utkal Institute of Medical Science. His family member is an Assam returnee.
—1 case: Female (18 yrs) of Nilachakra Nagar in Jayadev Vihar.

The BMC also said that nine patients have recovered and are being discharged from the COVID hospitals.

—8 cases recovered: Three males (33 yrs, 48 yrs and 18 yrs) and five females (22 yrs, 28 yrs, 22 yrs, 22 yrs and 35 yrs). They were all undergoing treatment at a private hospital.
—1 case recovered. Male (36 yrs) of Bharatpur, near Kalinga Studio.

Of the total 345 COVID-19 cases in Bhubaneswar, 139 are active cases and 201 are recovered cases. Four patients have succumbed to the disease.
