Talking to media persons later, President of the Sangh, Malaya Jena said as per the recommendation of the 7th Pay Commission, the state government has agreed to provide 40 percent of the salary while the Centre should provide the remaining 60 percent. “Since the Centre has not made it clear whether it would provide its share, the Sangh will begin its agitation against the Centre from Tuesday,” he informed.

Jena further said that the state government has agreed to change the designation of Sikshya Sahayaks. Henceforth, the Sikshya Sahayak would be designated as Junior Teacher. “In the first three years of their appointment, the Sikshya Sahayaks would be designated as Junior Teacher Contract while from three years to six years they will be designated as Junior Teacher. Afer completing six years, they would be appointed as regular teachers,” he added.

The 7-point charter of demands of the Sangh include hike in salary by 25 percent as per 7thpay Commission, regularisation of jobs of 2011 batch applicants, death benefits, increase in grade pay from Rs 2200 to Rs 2800 and simplification of the transfer system.
