Roll Back Transfer Order Of Doctors From Western Odisha, BJP MP Urges CM
Bhubaneswar: BJP’s Bargarh MP Suresh Pujari on Sunday appealed to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to bring back the doctors transferred from western Odisha in the light of rising COVID-19 cases and acute crisis of vacant posts in the region.
In a letter to the chief minister, Pujari said the transfer of the doctors at this time could aggravate the health care services in the region.
Citing the case of his constituency, Pujari said while 50 per cent of doctor posts are lying vacant in Bargarh district alone, three doctors were transferred on COVID-19 duty.
The MP requested the chief minister to roll back the transfer orders of the doctors considering the sentiment of the people of western Odisha.
