Anugul: In an unusual theft case in the district, a woman patient on the plea of consultation with a doctor took away money from his table drawer in his absence.
A video that has gone viral on the social media shows a couple coming to the clinic of Dr Deepak Gadanaik at Amalapada for consultation regarding some illness.
While talking to the woman, Dr Gadnaik suddenly leaves the room for some urgent work for a short time. Soon after, she grabs a bundle of cash from the doctor’s table drawer and hides it in her saree. As Dr Gadnaik arrives, the woman goes away with the money in a hurry.
Later, the doctor comes to know about the theft of Rs 30,000 and on checking the footage of the CCTV installed in his chamber, the whole incident is revealed.
Based on the footage, Dr Gadnika has filed an FIR at the Anugul police station.
