Know The Arrangements For Mass Silent Prayer For COVID Warriors In Odisha
Bhubaneswar: Odisha is readying for mass silent prayer and oath-taking in honour of the COVID warriors at 6 pm on Wednesday on the appeal of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
The state will observe a one-minute silence from 6 pm to 6.01 pm, following which the CM will administer the oath, a government notification said.
The programme will be telecast live on all the Odia TV channels and
over OSWAN (in all 314 Blocks). This would also be available on Twitter and
Facebook Live.
The government employees have been requested to join the observation of silence and oath administration at the appointed time.
“Employees of all departments up to the rank of the joint secretary shall join
the programme from their respective workplaces. They can choose to
assemble in the corridor/open spaces while maintaining a physical distance of
at least 2 metres. Officers of the rank of additional secretary and above will
join the event at the convention centre in Lok Sewa Bhawan,” it said.
The employees who may be working from home will join the programme from their residence. In case any employee is unable to join the event over TV/social media due to lack of connectivity, s/he shall take the oath at the appointed time after maintaining silence for one minute, it added.
