Mumbai: Sushant Singh Rajput’s gym partner Sunil Shukla recently revealed that Bollywood biggies Salman Khan and Karan Johar tried to ruin the actor’s career.
According to a report in DailyHunt, Sushant’s gym partner alleged that deliberate attempts were made to delay the actor’s action film ‘Drive’.
Revealing further, Sunil said that the female lead of the film, Jacqueline Fernandes was roped in for Salman’s ‘Race 3’ while she was shooting for ‘Drive’. This delayed the shooting of ‘Drive’ and moreover, Sushant was not allowed to sign any other projects.
“Karan Johar and Salman Khan together conspired to not let him work in films. Karan Johar signed Sushant and Jacqueline for a film ‘Drive’ but in the middle of this film, Jacqueline got an offer to work in ‘Race 3’. Karan did not let Sushant sign any more films and allowed Jacqueline to work in Salman’s film which delayed its shooting,” said Sunil.
The actor’s gym partner also disclosed that Sushant was quite upset when Shahrukh Khan had insulted him at the IIFA held in Macau.
Talking about the incident, Sunil said, “Sushant told me that Shah Rukh had asked him to practice a signature step. He was also very happy with this invitation. Shahrukh Khan had said that he will talk about his career and struggle but after going to the stage, he started insulting Sushant. Sushant was deeply hurt by this behaviour of Shahrukh Khan,” he said.
Sunil Shukla has reportedly filed an intervention application in the Supreme Court alleging that despite lodging a complaint with the Bandra Police, he has not been called to record his statement.
He also claimed that he has a lot of information about Sushant and he wanted to share it with the police.
