Block Grant Teachers’ Stir Affects Plus II Answer Sheet Evaluation For Second Day
Bhubaneswar: The indefinite strike observed by block grant teachers continued to affect Plus II answer sheet evaluation process across the state for the second day on Thursday.
“The state government has engaged about 3, 000 Plus III lecturers and readers for the evaluation process against the requirement of more than 6, 000 teachers for the same. Most of these teachers are not at all acquainted with the pattern while many of them have refused to take part in the evaluation process. So, we request the government not to play with the future of students and fulfil our demands to save the education sector from collapsing,” said All Odisha School Teachers and Employees’ Forum convenor Golak Nayak, who staged a demonstration in front of an evaluation centre at BJB Autonomous College in Bhubaneswar.
Similar protests are also being organised by the forum in front of 55 other evaluation centres across the state.
On the other hand, the Council of Secondary Education (CHSE) has claimed to have put alternate measures in place to ensure that the future of over three lakh students is not affected.
