Bhubaneswar: Senior BJD leader and Pipili MLA Pradeep Maharathy has been put on ventilator in a hospital here as his condition reportedly turned critical on Friday.
According to sources, Maharathy was undergoing treatment at the private hospital near Khandagiri after he tested positive for COVID-19. As his condition worsened, he has been put on ventilator. He will be kept under observation for 48 hours, the sources said.
The MLA had tested positive for COVID-19 on September 14.
