This Wildlife Sanctuary In Odisha To Reopen From Nov 1; Know The Guidelines For Tourists

Baripada: Similipal National Park in Odisha’s Myurbhanj district will reopen for tourists from November 1.

According to the order issued by the field director of the tiger reserve, all activities in the park will be carried out in strict adherence to COVID-19 guidelines.

A maximum of 35 four-wheelers with necessary permit will be allowed at Kaliani (Jashipur) entry point and another 25 vehicles at Pithabata entry point for carrying tourists into the reserve. The vehicles, passengers and their belongings will be scanned at the entry and exit points.

The permit will be issued between 6 am to 9 am every day. Each vehicle will have at least one tour guide.

The order further said that the tourists will submit an undertaking to follow the guidelines issued. They have to leave Joranda and Birehipani waterfalls by 3 pm and reach the exit gates (Pithabata, Tulasibani, Kaliani) by 5 pm.
