12 sheep found dead in Bhanjanagar with scratch marks on neck
Bhanjanagar: Even as the unknown animal continues to unleash terror in Niali block of Cuttack district, a similar incident has come to the fore in Bhanjanagar block of Ganjam district on Sunday.
Twelve sheep were found dead in the cattle shed of Balia Gauda at Badapathara village under Bhanjananagar block in the district.
Forest officials, who arrived at the spot after receiving information,
said scratch marks were found on the neck and ear. The carcasses of the dead animals have been sent for autopsy to ascertain the exact cause of death, they informed.
Two sheep deaths were reported from Prabhakarpur village under
Mahakalapada block in Kendrapara district on Friday night. Nine sheep were also killed and three were injured after being attacked by the unknown wild animal at Alipingal village in Jagatsinghpur district the following night. night.
