Bhubaneswar: Questions have been raised over the authenticity of official social media account of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik after his office said it has no information in this regard.
RTI activist Biswajit Mohanty had applied for information under Right To Information Act regarding Twitter and Facebook accounts of the chief minister on October 20. He wanted to know the number, subject matter and notes of the file that dealt with the decision of opening the social media accounts.
He also sought the copy of the official order issued in this regard and the names and designations of the officials who are posting the information and replies on these accounts.
In its reply to Mohanty through e-mail on November 22, the Public Information Officer, Office of the Chief Minister, Odisha said, “The Twitter & Facebook account of the Chief Minister is not being operated by this office and no information on the same is available.”
