Odisha Actor Sabyasachi Mishra Named Outlook Person Of The Year
Bhubaneswar: Ollywood actor Sabyasachi Mishra has been recognised as Outlook’s Person of the Year, 2020 for his relief work for students and migrant workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In its citation praising the actor’s Samaritan outreach to those in need, Outlook magazine said an SOS from a group of Odia students dramatically changed Sabyasachi’s journey. The popular filstar from Odisha was at the fountainhead of some much-needed relief work that students and the common people, especially migrant workers, needed in the wake of the COVID pandemic.
It further said Sabyasachi had one goal — to put a smile in the face of the sufferer. And he was successful with a group of friends who helped him fund his project.
With no aspiration to ride his popularity into politics, Mishra has showed honesty and a golden heart. For being a wonderful soul, Sabyasachi Mishra is Outlook’s Person of the Year, 2020, the citation added.
On his part, the actor took to his official Twitter handle to say he was honoured and thanked Outlook for the prestigious tag.
