Odisha Capital To Vaccinate Its Elderly & 45+ Comorbid Residents From Monday; Know Names Of Hospitals

Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 vaccination of the elderly and persons with co-morbidities will begin at 22 hospitals in the city Monday.

The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner, Prem Chandra Chaudhary, told this to the media on Saturday.

Chaudhary informed that those above 60 years and 45-year-plus with co-morbidities will be given the vaccines at 12 government hospitals and 10 private hospitals in the city.

The 10 private hospitals are SUM Hospital, KIMS, Kalinga Hospital, Blue Wheel Hospital, Aditya Care Hospital, Ashwini Hospital, AMRI Hospital, Utkal Hospital, Neelachal Hospital, Care Hospital and Hi-Tech Medical College and Hospital.

Service Fee & Cost

Those going for vaccines at the private hospitals will have to pay Rs 100 as service charge.

Besides, the government will announce the cost of the vaccines at these hospitals likely by Sunday. However, the vaccines will be given free of cost at the government hospitals, he added.

Register For Vaccination

“As vaccination at the private hospitals will begin from March 2, the elderly and persons with co-morbidities will have register in the Co-Win portal (Co-Win 2.0) on Monday. Once they are registered, they can choose any private hospital for the vaccination,” Chaudhary said.

Centre Limit

He also informed that on the first day of the vaccination, 60 persons will be vaccinated at each centre.
