Bhubaneswar: The Twin City Commissionerate Police are most likely to arrest BJP leader Upasna Mohapatra in connection with a murderous assault on a tenant at IRC Village in the Odisha capital.
She is the daughter of former Congress leader and Brahmagiri MLA Lalatendu Bidyadhar Mohapatra, in this case.
Bhubaneswar DCP Umashankar Dash informed that three special squads have been formed to nab the remaining accused against whom the tenant, Pranab Ray, had lodged a complaint.

Stating that 18 persons have so far been arrested in the case, he said that the victim has also named Upasna and the BJP leader of Mahanga Sharada Pradhan in the FIR.
Police had booked Upasana Mohapatra and 30 others on the basis of the complaint.

Demanding the arrest of Sharada Pradhan, the BJD workers had staged a demonstration at the Commissionerate Police headquarters here on March 20.
