Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Exchange Wedding Vows

Winsdor: In the most-awaited wedding of the year, Britain’s Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were pronounced ‘husband and wife’ by the Archbishop of Canterbury at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle on Saturday.

The wedding was attended by Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip and other members of the Royal family. Prince William was Prince Harry’s best man while his children were among the 10 page boys and bridesmaid.

Hours before the wedding, the monarch bestowed the titles of Duke and Duchess of Sussex  on the couple as per the royal tradition.

The wedding was attended by around 600 guests, including actor Priyanka Chopra, David and Victoria Beckham and George and Amal Clooney.

Meghan walked down 110 steps unaccompanied and was later escorted by Prince Charles who walked with the bride in the absence of her father Thomas Markle Sr, who couldn’t attend due to ill-health.

Markle’s mother Doria Ragland was the only one present from her family.

After the wedding, the couple appeared in front of the Chapel and sealed the wedding with a kiss and were later taken for a tour of the Winsdor city in a carriage.

Thousands of people gathered along the roads of Winsdor to catch a glimpse of the couple. After the wedding, the couple headed for two quick reception parties.
