Odisha’s Daily COVID-19 Caseload Inches Closer To 400; Khurda Leads The Tally With 70 Cases

Bhubaneswar: Odisha saw a huge spike in daily COVID-19 caseload on Thursday with 394 people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.

It had reported 297 cases the previous day.

According to the I & PR Department sources, the fresh cases have been reported from 25 districts. Among them, 231 are from quarantine and 163 local contact cases.

Khurda saw the highest of 70 cases followed by Kalahandi (43), Nuapada (40), Bargarh (34), Sundargarh  (31) and Cuttack (27).

The cases were detected from 29,260 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
With this, the number of active cases in Odisha has mounted to 2246.
