Here’s Details Of 14 Road Projects Sanctioned For Odisha
Bhubaneswar/New Delhi: Fourteen projects of 314.17 km worth Rs 1144.29 crore and road safety work worth Rs 1.42 crore were sanctioned for Odisha in 2020-21, informed Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari in a series of tweets.
THE PROJECTS:
A bypass on NH-59 near Berhampur and a 4-lane Railway Over Bridge (ROB), worth Rs 196.94 crore
A ROB at Matiapada on Puri- Konark Road and its approaches of 3.2 km of NH 316 with a budget of Rs 137.61 crore
Bridge projects, including five on NH-326, worth Rs 154 crore for Malkangiri district. Apart from providing better connectivity, it will give a huge boost to the local economy, said Gadkari.
Construction of High-Level Bridge over Kantiyalli Nullah on NH-153 B with a budget Rs. 9.7 crore.
Four-lane work on NH-26 and strengthening of the double lane with a paved shoulder between Barpali and Balangir) with a budget Rs 414.24 crore.
Widening f Mundamarai to Ratanpur section of NH-59 to two-lane with paved shoulder (with 12m carriageway with 15m formation width) at Rs 125.94 crore.
Construction work from Ch 175/880 to 181/000 km Bhawanipatna town portion of NH- 26 with a budget Rs 3.27 crore.
Construction work from Ch 0/000 to 35/000 km Mohana to Malwa Ghat section of NH-326A at Rs 23.21 crore.
Rs 22.72 crore provided for strengthening of NH-55 (previously NH-42) in five patches, Rs 18.06 crore for NH-20 (Panikoili-Rimuli section), Rs 5.72 crore for NH-149.
Rs 11.8 crore for construction of truck lay bye and highway nest.
“Sanction of Rs 1144.29 crore for 14 road projects of 314.17 km and Rs 1.42 crore for executing road safety works during 2020-21 has added more speed and scale to the developmental push in Odisha and also in bridging the critical gaps in infrastructure,” tweeted Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
