COVID-19 Toll Surges To 2378 In Odisha, 2 From Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar: Although the data provided by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare states that the positivity rate of COVID-19 in Odisha has shown a marginal fall despite the rise in the number of cases, the daily fatality count in the state is a matter of grave concern.
According to the data provided by the state Health and Family Welfare Department, the average daily fatality rate in Odisha hovers around 20.
In the last 24 hours, the state has reported 21 fatalities from 14 districts of which 3 are from Kalahandi, 2 each from Bhubaneswar (Khurda), Koraput, Mayurbhanj, Sambalpur and Sundargarh and one each from Balangir, Bargarh, Cuttack, Kandhamal, Keonjhar, Nayagarh, Nuapada and Puri districts thus taking the total deaths to 2378.
The deceaseds have been identified as:
1. A 43-year-old female from Bhubaneswar.
2. A 77-year-old male from Bhubaneswar, who was also suffering from Coronary Artery Disease.
3. A 51-year-old male from Balangir district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
4. A 55-year-old female from Bargarh district.
5. A 56-year-old female from Cuttack district who was also suffering from Chronic Liver Disease.
6. A 35-year-old male from Kandhamal district.
7. A 57-year-old male from Kalahandi district.
8. A 43-year-old male from Kalahandi district.
9. A 73-year-old male from Kalahandi district.
10. A 85-year-old male from Koraput district, who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.
11. A 30-year-old male from Koraput district.
12. A 67-year-old male from Keonjhar district, who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, Chronic Kidney Disease & Coronary Artery Disease.
13. A 41-year-old male from Mayurbhanj district.
14. A 53-year-old male from Mayurbhanj district.
15. A 51-year-old male from Nayagarh district.
16. A 60-year-old female from Nuapada district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
17. A 68-year-old female from Puri district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.
18. A 25-year-old male from Sambalpur district.
19. A 56-year-old male from Sambalpur district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
20. A 50-year-old male from Sundargarh district, who was also suffering from Hypertension & Coronary Artery Disease.
21. A 72-year-old male from Sundargarh district.
