Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will review preparations for Rath Yatra in Puri on Thursday.
Ministers along with Chief Secretary SC Mohapatra, DGP Abhay, Shree Jagannath Temple Administration chief administrator Krishan Kumar, Puri Collector Samarth Verma and SP K Vishal Singh will attend the meeting in virtual mode.
In view of the COVID pandemic, Rath Yatra will be held only in Puri like last year.
The SJTA has been emphasising COVID appropriate behaviour and discipline among sevayats during the annual sojourn of the Lords, starting July 12. The administration, meanwhile, has launched a three-day COVID test drive for the sevayats and temple staff. Only those testing positive and fully vaccinated will be allowed to participate in the festival.
