Southern Range DIG Hints At Crucial Lead In Odisha ACF’s Death Case
Paralakhemundi: Police have got a crucial lead in Paralakhemundi ACF Soumya Ranjan Mohapatra’s death and it will help in the investigation, DIG, Southern Range, Satyabrata Bhoi informed on Thursday.
The DIG, who is in the South Odisha town to review the status of the investigation, said that the official residence of the ACF was the crime spot.
“During my visit to the ACF’s quarters, I found burn spots at some places. Other aspects in the case are being probed and we will be able to give the details once the investigation is completed,” he added.

Stating that the police are probing all angles in the alleged murder, the DIG said that those named in the FIR have been brought under the purview of investigation and will be interrogated.

The DIG also had a meeting with the Gajapati SP Tapan Kumar Patnaik, SDPO Ramakrushna Pati, IIC of Paralakhemundi Town police station Bibekanand Swain and Crime Branch DSP Bijay Kumar Mallick, who is assisting Odisha police in the probe.
