HSC Supplementary Exam Begins In Odisha

Cuttack: The High School Certificate (HSC) supplementary examinations, conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) began in Odisha on Friday morning.

The examinations, which will conclude on June 29, began at 9 am.

A total of 26,643 students are appearing for the examinations at 100 centres in the state.

According to Dr Nihar Ranjan Mohanty, Controller of Examinations, BSE, the students will appear for OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) test from 9 am to 10 am and the descriptive test from 10 am to 11.30 am.

The schedule of the supplementary examination is as follows:

June 22-MIL, June 23-English, June 24-Visual Art, June 25-Hindi, June 26-Sanskrit, June 27-Mathematics, June 28-Science and June 29-Social Studies.

Students who will clear the supplementary examination are eligible to take admission in Plus II streams in the current academic session.

Briefing mediapersons here, BSE president Dr Jahan Ara Begum said the process of despatching question papers by the Board officials to the examination centres which had begun on June 17 amid tight security, have reached all the centres by the evening on Thursday.

She further said that the Board has taken adequate measures to curb malpractice.
